Life is a breeze when you can go 7 miles without pedaling. I see people going into downtown Denver in the morning using the Cherry Creek path and they seem to be going super fast. Now I know, they just don’t have to work much to get a good 15mph. I think I may have […]

Jim Baker Reservoir Ride
Sometimes a long trip to run errands will end up rewarding you with a good history lesson as well as reflection. Today, while visiting the office of a contractor, I came upon the Jim Baker Reservoir. The trail had a statue of Jim Baker and plaque which read, “The forgotten mountain man.” It was a […]
Bike to books
I haven’t been out for 19 days. After looking at my bike that was starting to collect dust and having spent more hours on a stationary bike than a real one, I decided that I need both motion and knowledge. I’m a person who needs a destination for motivation and I just can’t ride in […]
Friday fun in the sun
Working from home has it’s perks (no shower and no interruptions) but sometimes you find yourself feeling down and out. Thats when it’s time to head out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. I found that I was going to loose a significant amount of money that I put into a transit flex spending […]
Rainy Ride to Denver
I’m pedaling hard and fast to try to make my bus AND avoid a thunderstorm. You could see it on the horizon and it looks mean. I ended up making it to the bus stop 10 minutes early right before the rain drops started to fall. Luckily, when I got into Downtown, the skies cleared […]
Washington Park Geese
I had to stop and let some small friends cross the bike path. It’s always awesome to see a mother goose with her babies following behind. Distance: 6.84 miles
Pedal on the Platte
The Platte River ride is one of those trails where you get to go from the crappies the part of Denver to the nicest part. You also get to see the people whom have nothing as well as the rich folks in the city. It seems like today, both of them were grumpy and bitter. […]
No Sweat Commute Home
This ride is starting to get so easy that I don’t even break a sweat anymore. I’m thinking about leaving later so that I’m forced to sprint to the train station. At least I can still enjoy the views of Washington park which is starting to get a bit crowded again. Distance: 7.1 miles
The Best Ride of the Day
The ride from work to Union Station has to be one of my favorite rides of all time. It’s mostly downhill so I just have to build a good momentum and coast all the way to the station. Distance: 10.63 miles
Two Sprints
Running late for work is starting to get old but at least it challenges me to pedal faster in order to get to my bus station. I haven’t missed my bus yet and I always get a good sweat before the start of the day. Distance: 11.31 miles
